As we celebrate the holidays with family and friends there will be another type of celebration that is quite popular during this time of year...engagement proposals! With that said, spring is right around the corner and I absolutely love the color combination in this wedding. For all of the newly engaged couples who are planning a spring or summer wedding next year and have not chosen their colors this may be an option.

Real Weddings: Lindsey and Jason / Longboat Key Resort

This was a destination wedding for Lindsey and Jason. When Lindsey and her mom first met me, Lindsey had selected her bridesmaids dresses in a pastel yellow shade and requested we incorporated gold in the decor. She wanted a soft romantic feel for the with lots of candles. Right away I knew the perfect colors of rich golden yellows and ivory florals in her centerpieces will give the room elegance. Lindsey carried a mix of ivory garden and spray roses while her bridesmaids carried golden yellow roses with a touch of green.

Lindsey and Jason were wed at Longboat Key Resort in Sarasota. This was our first time at the resort and it is absolutely beautiful. The weather couldn't have been better. Looking at the pictures you would think the wedding was shot in the a tropical island.

The reception was held in their grand ballroom. Antique gold overlays, ivory linen, gold chargers and ivory napkins were chosen for their guest tables. Lindsey loved the antique gold runners we used on their feasting table. A Big thanks to Kristine Weaver Photography for these awesome images. Congratulations Lindsey and Jason! Four months before the wedding I received a call from Kristy to let me know she decided to change her colors from rich fall tones to tiffany blue and platinum. Being a beach side afair I loved the change and told Kristy we could change the decor without a problem. Kristy wanted bling, elegance and Tiffany blue. Kristy's bouquet had a collection of white blooms adorned with a broach that complimented the details on her dress. The ceremony was held at St. Michael's Archangel church followed by cocktails seaside at Sandpearl Resort. Due to great weather we were upgrated to the Grand Ballroom. We selected tiffany blue linens, white pillow case chaircovers, platinum chargers with tiffany blue napkins. Kristy ordered white boxes tied with tiffany ribbons for her favor boxes. The fantastic photos were taken by Stephen Dohring Photography. Special thanks to Debbie Glancy at the Sandpearl for 5 star service. Kristy you are the best and I will miss you. I can't wait to see the video. Congratulations to the beautiful couple Kristy and Jerry!!

Real Weddings: Michelle and Vijay / Don Cesar Resort - Preston Bailey Inspired Wedding

This is without a doubt one of of our favorite weddings of the year. Michele and Vijay had their lovely wedding at the Don Cesar which was newly renovated last summer. Burgundy, gold and ivory were the central colors for this event. Guests were greeted to the grand foyer with a large manzanita tree dripping with crystals and candles. Each guest table had a Preston Bailey inspired centerpiece. Lush deep red roses, antique green hydrangeas and a touch of sunset orange. Ivory crushed linens and satin chair covers with antique gold chargers complete the look. Brian Adams never ceases to produce beautiful photos. Congratulations Vijay and Michele!!!

Real Weddings: Kamine and Torsam / Marriott Waterside

Congratulations Kamine and Torsam! We had struggled to find the perfect wedding date due to family members flying in from out of the country but everything came together and the wedding couldn't have been more perfect. Their ceremony was held outside at the beautiful Marriott Waterside downtown. Kamine wanted to incorporate red roses for her ceremony and wanted something different. We came up with a crystal and rose curtain backdrop which looked great in the photos thanks to Chi photography.

White manzanita branches, floral clusters, swarovski crystals and orchids adorned the tables. Amber lighting washed the walls and chiavari chairs finished the look.

CELEBRITY WEDDING - Renaissance Vinoy

Above are photos of a celebrity wedding we had great pleasure of being a part of at the Renaissance Vinoy Resort back in August of last year. The bride was very particular with her colors. She chose American Beauty, which is a deep fuschia color. We complimented the color of her choice with beautiful shades of purple and lightened the piece using green antique hydrangeas which turned out absolutely stunning. Beautiful linens graced the tables, silver chargers, menu cards and the icing....lots of bling!! We hung several strands of swarovski crystals in each centerpiece. Our designer containers glowed in a beautiful purple hue. The room looked perfect! Crystals were integrated into the beautiful fountain piece we designed for the ceremony. We had several hotel guests and Vinoy staff take photos of the ceremony decor prior to the wedding. What a great compliment!
